Arsenal have submitted a fresh offer for Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ben White, according to football.london.
The Gunners are keen on signing a new centre-back this summer, and White has emerged as the priority target.
The north London club recently failed with an opening £40m bid for White, and they have now made a renewed £45m offer.
The proposal is expected to be rejected by the Seagulls, who are holding out for at least £50m for their prized asset.
The Gunners are still confident that they can get a deal over the line for White, who made his Premier League debut last term.
The 23-year-old has already started house-hunting in London, and has told his close friends that he expects to join the Gunners.
Leeds United and Manchester United have also been linked with his services, but the former have been priced out of a move.
United are monitoring White's situation, but they appear to have their sights on landing Real Madrid star Raphael Varane.
