Ben White will reportedly undergo a series of medical tests with Arsenal on Wednesday ahead of his expected transfer.
The Gunners have already reached an agreement with Brighton & Hove Albion to sign White. They will pay an initial £50m.
A medical has been held up due to White's vacation. As per Sky Sports, the formality is expected to be completed on Wednesday.
White is set to become the club's third acquisition of the summer after the arrivals of Nuno Tavares and Albert Sambi Lokonga.
There could be more arrivals in the coming weeks. However, the club will first need to offload players to recoup transfer funds.
A new striker appears a priority with the likely departures of Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah in the coming weeks.
Chelsea's Tammy Abraham has emerged as the top target. It has recently been claimed that they have agreed personal terms.
The Blues are open to loaning out the marksman this summer with the obligation to buy for around £40m in 12 months' time.
