Arsenal have been handed a boost in signing Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard this summer.
The Norwegian was on loan with the Gunners during the back end of last season. He bagged two goals and two assists from 20 games.
Mikel Arteta is reportedly keen on re-signing him, and ESPN claims that there could be a possibility in the coming weeks.
Odegaard is still undecided over his future as he may not be assured a regular starting role under Carlo Ancelotti next term.
With under two years left on his contract, Los Blancos would be prepared to sell him permanently if he wants to leave.
The Gunners are awaiting the green light from the Madrid giants, but Odegaard won't come on the cheap for them.
Los Blancos won't entertain another loan deal unless it has the obligation to buy. They are likely to demand €50m for his services.
The Gunners have also been linked with Leicester City's James Maddison, but Odegaard remains the first-choice target.
