Manchester United have confirmed the return of Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus on a permanent deal.
The Portuguese superstar has rejoined the club on a two-year contract with the option for another 12 months.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that the 36-year-old had decided to leave the Bianconeri after three seasons.
He was touted to make a surprise move to Manchester City, but the Cityzens did not make any formal offer.
United have since sealed a quick transfer agreement with Juventus. Ronaldo has returned after 11 years away.
Ronaldo was initially not in the club's transfer plans, but they could not resist the prospect of re-signing him.
He was previously with the club between 2003 and 2009, registering 118 goals from 292 appearances.
Ronaldo will undergo his medical in Portugal. He will be presented in the club's shirt after the international break.
He has worn the number 7 shirt for nearly two decades, but may have to switch unless Edinson Cavani accepts a change.
