Thomas Tuchel confirms four Chelsea players will miss Juventus trip

28 September 2021 - 19:33

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that the club will be without four players for the Champions League clash at Juventus.

  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip
  • Gabriel Magalhaes to sign new Arsenal deal

  • The Blues were without Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount for the recent Premier League defeat to Manchester City at home.

Both players continue to remain on the sidelines, and Tuchel has confirmed that Reece James and N'Golo Kante are also unavailable.

James sustained an ankle injury against the Cityzens meanwhile Kante is under isolation after testing positive for the coronavirus.

He told Chelseafc.com: "Christian, Reece and Mason are out."

"N’Golo unfortunately tested positive and he needs to quarantine and follow the government protocols. He was not in training today."

The Blues were poor against the Cityzens at the weekend. They failed to register a single shot on target in the 1-0 defeat.

They will be aiming to return to winning ways against the Bianconeri, who have made an indifferent start to the new Serie A campaign.

The club failed to win their opening four games of the season, but have since registered back-to-back victories to climb to 10th on the table.
