Manchester United boss confirms big injury boost for Leicester clash

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed the return of Marcus Rashford for the Premier League clash against Leicester City.

  • The England international has not played a single game this season, having undergone a shoulder surgery earlier this summer.

    He made his return to training before the international break, and could now make his first appearance of the campaign.

    Speaking ahead of the game, Solskjaer confirmed that Rashford will be involved, but did not reveal whether he will start.

    Rashford played against Blackburn Rovers in a behind closed-doors friendly during the break. He stood out with a brace.

    The 23-year-old's return is a huge boost for the Red Devils as they could now play Paul Pogba in central midfield.

    Solskjaer has persisted the Frenchman on the left wing this term with Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial struggling for form.

    Rashford has been a consistent performer from the role in recent years, and he should be fancied to start regularly hereon.
