Chelsea players are reportedly concerned over the club's handling over the future of Cesar Azpilicueta.
The Spaniard has been a key player for the Blues for nearly a decade, but his game time has reduced this season.
He has still been fancied to sign a new deal beyond next summer, but the hierarchy have yet to make an offer.
According to Goal.com, several Blues players are bewildered by the lack of contract negotiations with the club captain.
It appeared that the hierarchy would open talks with the skipper shortly after guiding the club to Champions League glory.
However, nothing of that sort has happened. There are now suggestions that Azpilicueta could head for the exit door.
His contract expires at the end of the campaign. Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are keeping tabs on his situation.
Atletico are aiming to replace Kieran Trippier, who is open to returning to the Premier League in either January or next summer.
Meanwhile, the Blaugrana are keen on pursuing Azpilicueta with Xavi unconvinced with Sergino Dest and Sergi Roberto.
Dani Alves has been signed recently, but the Brazilian is only considered as a stopgap option for the second half of the season.
