Arsenal will have an opportunity to sign Evan Ndicka during the next transfer window, Bild reports.
The 22-year-old was heavily linked with the Gunners last summer before they signed Ben White from Brighton & Hove Albion.
It is now reported that the club could pursue another centre-back amid the uncertain futures of Pablo Mari and William Saliba.
Both players are currently on loan. Mari is expected to push for a permanent exit while Saliba may also head for the exit door.
Saliba will enter the final two years of his contract this summer, and the hierarchy could sell him unless he pens a new deal.
Ndicka would be a quality addition to the Gunners ranks with his strong aerial ability, tackling and concentration in the box.
The Frenchman is also left-footed by nature. Gunners boss Mikel Arteta may give preference to him owing to that reason as well.
The Spaniard prefers a right and left-footed centre-back in the line-up. Ndicka could offer strong competition to Gabriel.
