Arsenal and Manchester United will need to pay around £63m to sign Benfica striker Darwin Nunez this summer.
The Uruguayan has been in exceptional form for the Portuguese giants this term, bagging 26 goals from just 33 games.
This has caught the eye of several clubs. Calciomercato claims that the Gunners and Red Devils are among front-runners.
The Gunners could potentially be without a senior striker this summer with the free transfer exits of Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah.
Meanwhile, United are expected to lose Edinson Cavani. The 35-year-old has no plans of extending his deal beyond the end of the season.
Both clubs are likely to pursue a marquee centre-forward, and could compete for Nunez. It remains to be seen whether they meet the price tag.
The Gunners, in particular, could be eyeing two strikers in the transfer window. They may not make such a huge outlay on the 22-year-old.
Liverpool have also been linked with Nunez, but their approach may depend on whether they part ways with long-serving striker Roberto Firmino.
