Borussia Dortmund in loan move for Callum Hudson-Odoi

08 August 2022 - 09:19

Callum Hudson-Odoi has admitted that he wants to leave Stamford Bridge, and a surprise transfer to German giants Borussia Dortmund could be firmly on the radar after the Bundesliga side revealed that they have approached Chelsea regarding a loan move for the player. Hudson-Odoi has slipped down the pecking order at the Blues, and has told the club's senior leadership that he wants a move away.

  • Despite Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel admitting that he wants to keep Hudson-Odoi, the arrival of Raheem Sterling appears to limit the first-team opportunities the versatile winger will have at the Blues.

Chelsea do not want to sell Hudson-Odoi though, despite his potential £25 million valuation.

The 21-year-old, who has a contract until 2024, was not even in the club's matchday squad last week, further signalling that the starlet would be likely to leave the club at the first available opportunity.

Chelsea will be very active over the next couple of weeks, with Marcos Alonso set to move to Barcelona and also Timo Werner ready to rejoin his former club RB Leipzig in a 30 million euro transfer deal.
