Chelsea have made a one-year contract offer to Barcelona forward Memphis Depay, according to Football Insider.
The Netherlands international has entered the final year of his deal at Barcelona, and the club are prepared to release him.
Before that, Depay wants to find a suitable club, and it is now reported that the Blues have proposed to sign him for one campaign.
Depay is said to be excited by the challenge, and he is ready to make a move to Stamford Bridge before the 11pm transfer deadline.
Chelsea have been ultra busy on deadline day. They have already signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Denis Zakaria.
Depay could be the next big signing tonight. He would be a fantastic acquisition for the Blues with his directness in attack.
He has transformed himself into an out-of-out striker over recent years, and he and Aubameyang could share the duties up front.
