Arsenal interested in Moises Caicedo transfer move

17 October 2022 - 10:32

Moises Caicedo has caught the eye since his arrival at Brighton and Hove Albion in 2021, and the Ecuador international has now been linked with a surprise transfer move to Premier League rivals Arsenal. The 20-year-old has impressed club director Edu, and the Brazilian has reportedly been in contact with the South Coast club regarding a potential move for the midfielder.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • Arsenal missed out on a deal to sign Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa, as the Brazilian put pen to paper on a new deal at Villa Park just last week. The Gunners had hoped to sign Luiz on transfer deadline day, but their final two bids were both rejected. Fast forward to the upcoming January transfer window, and with Douglas Luiz no longer a target for the Gunners, Arsenal could be set to raid a different Premier League club for midfield reinforcements.

The impressive form of Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka this year has seen the Gunners rise to the top of the league table, but Mikel Arteta knows that an injury to either of his midfielders could drastically alter the direction of their season.

Therefore, Arsenal are considering a move for Moises Caicedo in January. Brighton are said to be unwilling to discuss a move away for the Ecuadorian midfielder.
