Rijkaard unclear about his future

Rijkaard unclear about his future

05 May 2008 - 20:22

In an interview with Sport on Monday, Los Cules boss Rijkaard claimed to not be considering his future until the summer.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • After seeing his side get back to winning ways and destroy Valencia 6-0 on Sunday, Frank Rijkaard spoke in his usual calm and collected fashion.

“We will evaluate both short and long-term plans together with the club at the end of the season,”

“I’m happy at Barcelona, just as I was at both Ajax and Milan. It would be nonsense to even try and compare. All these experiences have enriched my life. It’s pure fortune that I have been able to experience all that.”

The Dutch man was particularly cryptic in his comments, not showing signs of leaning either way. “I will never tell you that I’d like to spend my whole life in Spain, even though I would consider it. After all, you never know what happens, do you? But I’m no planner and I’m not thinking about my future at all to begin with.”

Different coaches from Laudrup to Mourinho are being linked with his job, but Frank Rijkaard isnt giving anything away just yet.
