Manchester United will be in Europa League action at Real Sociedad today. The Red Devils must win by a margin of two goals in order to finish top of Group E and avoid the round of 32 leg.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Barcelona identify Arsenal midfielder as key transfer target

  • Predicted Line-up:

David de Gea has played every minute in the Red Devils campaign so far and should be a guaranteed starter in goal this evening. The Spaniard has kept an impressive five clean sheets in his last six outings.

In defence, it should be the same four from the 1-0 win over West Ham United. Diogo Dalot and Lisandro Martinez are undisputed starters while Luke Shaw has also become a favourite under Erik ten Hag.

Harry Maguire's position in central defence can be debated about, but he proved his worth with key clearances last week. He also made a superb goal saving block. He should start ahead of Victor Lindelof.

In midfield, Casemiro and Christian Eriksen are expected to start. The former has been impressive since becoming the regular in the number six role. He has been named as the club's Player of the Month for October.

One change is likely in attack. Anthony Elanga failed to capitalise on a rare start at the weekend and could be replaced by Alejandro Garnacho on the right wing with Antony, Anthony Martial and Jadon Sancho unavailable.

Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Cristiano Ronaldo should keep their respective places. Ronaldo has a tremendous record against Sociedad from his Madrid days. He has 15 goals in just 10 meetings.

Predicted Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Dalot, Maguire, Lindelof, Shaw; Casemiro, Eriksen; Garnacho, Fernandes, Rashford; Ronaldo.
