Arsenal are lining up an approach to sign Barcelona defender Eric Garcia this summer, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Gunners were interested in landing the Spaniard during the January transfer window, but he was not keen on leaving.
The north London giants are prepared to try again at the end of the season and believe they could succeed this time around.
As per Mundo Deportivo, Garcia is currently assessing his future with Barcelona set to sign Inigo Martinez for free.
The centre-back is disappointed over his reduced game time and he is likely to push for an exit when the campaign concludes.
Arsenal are keeping a close eye on the proceedings and they are prepared to make a fresh move in the next transfer window.
The Gunners currently have Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba, Rob Holding and Jakub Kiwior as centre-back options.
If Garcia were to join the north London club this summer, it is most likely that Holding will be shown the exit door.
