Rosicky: worst time of career

Rosicky: worst time of career

11 May 2008 - 13:30

Arsenal and Czech Rep midfielder Tomas Rosicky has revealed his current injury problems have come at a time that he considers 'the worst period of my career'. Rosicky is set to miss Euro 2008 with the injury, and goes under the knife on Tuesday.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • "It is extremely difficult to estimate (how long I will be out)," Rosicky told Sport.

"We will know that after the surgical intervention. A lot will depend on what the doctors will see after they open the wound.

"It seems as though that blow separated the ligament from the bone, so we can expect minimally two months of further rehabilitation.

"Until the last moment I believed I would get together and wouldn't have to undergo surgery.

"I have been playing football at a high level for ten years and this is my first serious injury. This time I was simply enormously unlucky."
