Manchester United are still in contention to sign Brentford goalkeeper David Raya with Tottenham Hotspur reluctant to meet the asking price.
The Red Devils are looking for a new goalkeeper this summer with the possibility of David de Gea heading for the exit door.
De Gea has refused to accept a pay-cut on his £375,000-a-week wages, and he could leave when his deal expires at the end of June.
This could force United to enter the transfer market for a successor, and it is reported that Raya could be an option for the club.
Spurs have already agreed personal terms with the Spaniard, but they have refused to meet Brentford's £40 million price tag.
Their reluctance to pay the fee could bring United back into the race, though they are also working with a limited budget.
It has been claimed that United can only afford to sign a striker or a goalkeeper unless they recoup funds from player sales.
