Manchester United are preparing a formal bid to sign Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat in the coming days.
The Moroccan has been constantly linked with the Red Devils over recent weeks and an official bid could be made soon.
The 26-year-old has already agreed personal terms over a transfer, and a deal now depends on United meeting the price tag.
Fiorentina are said to value him in the region of €30m, but United will be hoping to prise him away for a lesser transfer sum.
The arrival of Amrabat at Old Trafford could coincide with midfield exits. Fred and Donny van de Beek are more likely to leave.
There is also speculation that Scott McTominay could head for the exit door as well. West Ham have asked for his medical records.
McTominay was linked with the Hammers at the beginning of the year while Newcastle United were also interested in signing him.
The Magpies have cooled their transfer pursuit, but David Moyes' side could make a late approach for his services this summer.
