Timothy Castagne, the Belgium international full back currently with Leicester City, will make a move back to the Premier League as Fulham appear to have reached an agreement for the player's transfer. The Craven Cottage outfit will pay around £17 million to sign the left-back, and it is understood Castagne will sign a four-year contract at his new club.
Castagne did not start Leicester City's last game in the Championship against Coventry City, increasing the likelihood of a departure for the full-back. 27-year-old Castagne caught the eye since his arrival at the Foxes in 2020, but now as the player heads into the final year of his deal, the former Atalanta and Genk star is ready for a return to the Premier League.
The Foxes won their first game 2-1 on opening day, and fellow countryman Wes Faes had been deployed as the defender in the position Castagne was most likely to play.
Fulham have so far signed Calvin Bassey and Raul Jimenez for a combined fee of around £30 million, and have a significant chunk of transfer budget left to sign more players before the transfer window slams shut.
