Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has criticised his players following the 4-1 Premier League defeat to Newcastle United on the road.
The Blues had an even opening half against the Magpies at St James' Park. Raheem Sterling pulled them level with a stunning free kick.
However, they failed to carry on with the same energy after the break and went on to lose by a 4-1 scoreline. Reece James was also sent off.
Speaking after the game, Pochettino was far from impressed and said that it was the worst outing of the campaign for the London side.
He said: "This was the worst game of our season so far”.“We didn't show we were playing for something important."
"Even if we are young, it makes me very, very, very angry. We cannot miss the opportunity to show ourselves at our best."
With the defeat, the Blues remain stranded in the 10th position in the league standings and they are already 10 points behind the top four.
The gap could extend tomorrow with the fourth and fifth placed teams set to face each other. The Blues are going through a tough phase.
