Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has heaped praise on Raheem Sterling following his impressive showing against Bolton Wanderers last night.
The England international made his full debut for the Gunners during yesterday's Carabao Cup third round tie against the Trotters.
Sterling bagged a goal and an assist in the game and following the 5-1 win, Arteta was full of praise for the former Manchester City man.
He said: "He was great. I think he’s started to show glimpses of what he can do, especially in attacking moments.
"Physically, he needs to get there to the level that we require, but I think it was a massive step today."
Sterling started on the left wing before moving to the right yesterday. He is likely to drop to the bench for Saturday's game versus Leicester.
Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka are expected to line up on either flank, but Sterling could be an easy substitute if there is a clear lead.
Arsenal welcome Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday night and Arteta could consider some early changes.
