Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Gent, Nkunku starts up front

03 October 2024 - 18:14

Chelsea take on Gent in their opening game of the Conference League on Thursday night.

  • Chelsea have discussed move for Alejandro Garnacho
  • Spanish star has arrived in London to complete Arsenal transfer

  • The Blues have been in impressive form in recent weeks and will be aiming another victory.

Ahead of the game, it is already known that Cole Palmer, Ben Chilwell, Romeo Lavia and Wesley Fofana won't be available.

The quartet have not been registered for the league phase of the competition.

    Predicted Line-up:

Filip Jorgensen has been the Blues' Cup goalkeeper thus far and we expect him to start ahead of Robert Sanchez between the sticks.

The defence could be wholesale changes too. Axel Disasi could feature at right-back with Renato Veiga in the left-back position.

Tosin Adarabioyo and Benoit Badiashile could line up in the heart of the Blues defence with Levi Colwill due to be rested too.

In midfield, Moises Caicedo will most likely start with the captain's armband with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall accompanying him.

Further forward, we expect Pedro Neto on the right wing. Joao Felix should start in the no.10 role with Mykhailo Mudryk on the left flank.

Christopher Nkunku bagged a splendid hat-trick against Barrow last week and he is expected to get the nod over Nicolas Jackson tonight.

Predicted Chelsea line-up: Jorgensen; Disasi, Tosin, Badiashile, Veiga; Caicedo, Dewsbury-Hall; Neto, Felix, Mudryk; Nkunku.
