Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has his sights on signing Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak next year, according to Con Harrison.
The Sweden international has been a key player for the Magpies and he has netted 30 goals since the beginning of the previous campaign.
Isak has proved his credentials at the highest level in the Premier League and Arteta has now identified him as his priority forward target.
The Spaniard has already given the green light for a transfer move, but the Gunners may have to wait until the summer to make an offer.
Isak has been in a contract stand-off with the Magpies and he has no plans of renewing his deal expiring in the summer of 2028, as things stand.
The Swede does not believe the Magpies can guarantee him Champions League regularly and he is prepared to secure a bigger challenge.
This could play into the hands of the Gunners, who could prise him away next summer. The 25-year-old could cost as much as £100 million.
