Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has heaped praise on Martin Odegaard following the 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.
The north London giants returned to winning ways with a convincing performance against Forest, who were restricted to zero shots on target.
Odegaard was among the stand-out performers. He picked up an assist and also ran the show with his work rate, distribution and leadership skills.
The Norwegian has made a terrific return from his ankle injury with assists in back-to-back games, but Arteta is not surprised by his contribution.
Arteta said: "He doesn’t surprise me because I see him every day, how he looks at himself, how much he wants it, the energy that he puts in.
"Obviously, when he’s on the team, you can sense something is different. It is difficult to put a finger on it but it’s different."
Arsenal remain fourth in the table after the win over Forest, but they are only one point behind second-placed Manchester City at the moment.
Liverpool are six points in front of them with a game in hand, but they have a difficult challenge against Pep Guardiola's side at home next weekend.
