Manchester United could make a surprise move for Eintracht Frankfurt star Hugo Larsson at the end of the campaign, according to Caught Offside.
The Red Devis are expected to spend on a new defensive midfielder in the summer with Casemiro poised to leave the club.
Larsson has been monitored over the past year by United scouts and they could make an approach for his services soon.
The 20-year-old has caught the eye with his distribution and recoveries. He has been tipped to leave Eintracht in the near future.
The Bundesliga outfit are unlikely to let him go on the cheap and they are expected to demand at least £50m for his services.
Larsson is regarded as one of the best young midfielders in the Bundesliga and he has already managed eight caps for Sweden.
He has a close relationship with Newcastle United's Alexander Isak from their time together in the national team in recent years.
