Manchester United have joined the race to sign Arsenal target Joan Garcia from Espanyol at the end of the campaign.
The Red Devils have had a poor Premier League season and they have conceded almost 40 goals from 27 games.
The club have struggled to keep clean sheets and they have not been helped by unforced errors from goalkeeper Andre Onana.
Onana was partly at fault for two goals in the 3-2 win over Ipswich Town. United could be forced to pursue a replacement this summer.
Sport today claim that the Red Devils have emerged as fresh contenders to land Garcia, who has been tipped to join the Gunners.
The Spaniard was a top target to replace Aaron Ramsdale at Arsenal last summer, but they could not negotiate a suitable fee.
The Gunners were willing to pay around €20m for his services, but Espanyol wanted his €30m release clause before the transfer deadline.
They are, however, prepared to negotiate this summer and reports claim that United could battle it out with Arsenal for his services.
