11 May 2025 - 12:24

Manchester United will be aiming to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they host West Ham United this afternoon.

  • Chelsea table bid for Victor Osimhen
  • Al Nassr in advanced talks to sign £70m Man Utd star

  • The Red Devils recently progressed to the Europa League final, and manager Ruben Amorim is likely to make wholesale changes to avoid injuries.

United are 15th in the league and are entirely reliant on Europa League success to qualify for the Champions League.

    Formation: 3-4-2-1

    Predicted Line-up:

Altay Bayindir could get the nod over Andre Onana in goal. The latter could start against Chelsea next weekend in preparation for the Europa League final versus Tottenham Hotspur.

In the defence, Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro could be given a break. Luke Shaw and Tyler Fredricson are strong candidates to partner Victor Lindelof in the back three.

Noussair Mazraoui was substituted due to fatigue in midweek and he is likely to be given a break. Patrick Dorgu could start at right wing-back with Harry Amass on the opposite end.

Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte have been brilliant in the centre of the park for United. The midfield duo could be given a breather. Kobbie Mainoo and Christian Eriksen are poised to start.

In the final third, Bruno Fernandes, Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund could drop to the bench. Amad Diallo and Mason Mount are likely to make up the attacking midfield.

Chido Obi, who was ineligible to play in the Europa League ties against Athletic, is expected to lead the attack for the Mancunian giants.

Predicted Man Utd line-up (3-4-2-1) vs West Ham: Bayindir; Fredricson, Lindelof, Shaw; Dorgu, Eriksen, Mainoo, Amass; Amad, Mount; Obi.
