Serie A giants Napoli are reportedly keen on landing Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo during the winter transfer window.
The England international has fallen out-of-favour under manager Ruben Amorim and he has been limited to a substitute role this season.
Mainoo is desperate for regular playing time to boost his World Cup selection hopes next summer, and he could push for a loan move in January.
Amidst this, Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Napoli boss Antonio Conte is eyeing to sign the Red Devils graduate for the second half of the season.
Napoli already have one loan player from United in Rasmus Hojlund, but they plan to finalise a permanent agreement when the window reopens.
In the process, they are also preparing a loan proposal for Mainoo. West Ham United are likewise interested, but the midfielder prefers Napoli.
Contact has already been made with the player's representatives and it remains to be seen whether United accept Napoli's loan approach.
