Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has heaped praise on sporting director Andrea Berta following the 4-1 rout of Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
The Gunners extended their lead at the top of the table to six points after a convincing win over Spurs. Eberechi Eze was the star of the show with a maiden career hat-trick.
Speaking after the game, Arteta was asked about Eze's performance. He pointed out to Berta's excellence in adding much-needed depth and quality in the squad this season.
He said: "Andrea Berta was excellent in delivering that, because at the moment, we are missing Gabriel, Havertz, Gyökeres, Jesus, Ødegaard… Martinelli & Madueke just came back."
Arsenal shared the spoils against Sunderland before the international break after conceding a late equaliser at the Stadium of Light.
They made amends with a resounding victory over Spurs. Despite the absence of several players due to injuries, Arsenal won with ease.
The club should be bolstered in the coming games with Viktor Gyokeres, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz due to return.
