Manchester United have identified Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall as a potential deputy to Luke Shaw next season, according to Sky Sports.
The Red Devils are expected to sign a new left-back this summer, considering the lack of quality competition to Shaw for the position at the club.
Patrick Dorgu was signed as a competitor to the Englishman, but the Denmark international is most comfortable operating from a wide attacking role.
Hence, the club are actively exploring a quality solution and they have been impressed by the progress made by Hall during his time at Newcastle.
The former Chelsea graduate has developed into one of the best full-backs in the country and could pursue a bigger challenge in the summer.
However, he is unlikely to come on the cheap and reports claim that it would take at least £65 million to prise him away from Newcastle.
Alongside Hall, his teammate Tino Livramento has also been linked with a potential move away from the Magpies in the next transfer window.
