Manchester United are weighing up a surprise move for Fulham midfielder Sander Berge as they seek to reinforce their squad ahead of next season.
The Red Devils have signed one midfielder in Atalanta's Ederson and talks are ongoing with West Ham United to land Mateus Fernandes in the near future.
A third midfielder could be signed if Manuel Ugarte departs and reports claim that Berge has emerged as a realistic target for the Mancunian giants.
Berge was on the Red Devils' radar during his time at Burnley. He ended up joining Fulham in the summer of 2024 despite an initial move from United.
He has since improved to become a reliable distributor and United are prepared to test Fulham's resolve to keep the Norwegian this summer.
Fulham spent 25 million pounds to land the 28-year-old and may want at least 30 million pounds to contemplate his departure in the near future.
Berge has also been linked with Tottenham Hotspur lately.
