Tottenham finally agree terms with Man Utd target

24 June 2026 - 21:10

Tottenham Hotspur have now agreed personal terms with Manchester United target Mateus Fernandes ahead of a possible transfer this summer.

  • Tottenham set to beat Man Utd to signing £85m star?
  • Chelsea have asked about Roma full-back - Romano

  • The Portuguese has been tipped to leave West Ham United after their relegation from the Premier League. Man Utd were leading the pursuit earlier this month, but they have been reluctant to meet the £85m price tag.

Spurs have now moved into pole position as they are willing to pay closer to the reported valuation. Man Utd, on the other hand, are reluctant to spend more than £60m for the services of the former Southampton man.

Meanwhile, Roberto De Zerbi's side have gone further ahead to finalise personal terms with Fernandes and they could make a formal transfer bid soon.

The news is a huge setback for the Red Devils, given they have earmarked Fernandes as a prime target to strengthen the heart of their midfield this summer.

Fernandes was initially holding out for a transfer to the Red Devils, but Spurs have convinced him to change his stance in the last few days.
