Roma have completed the signing of John Arne Riise form Liverpool for a fee believed to be in the region of around £4 million. The Norway international had become frustrated at Anfield, and boss Benitez has decided to let him leave.
Now he will join Luciano Spalletti's side and will be guaranteed more first team football.
At Liverpool, Riise found himself on a rotation policy behind Fabio Aurelio.
Now at Roma the Norway international is expected to feature more heavily in the side's big games and will help mount a challenge for Serie A glory next year.
