£8M for Anton Ferdinand

West Ham United have set a price tag of £8M for their centre-back, Anton Ferdinand. Aston Villa is keenly interested in signing the player.

Aston Villa has problems in the defence and Martin O'Neill wants to strengthen it by adding Anton Ferdinand. O'Neill had made a bid of around £6M though reports suggest that West Ham will not sell him for anything under £8M.



The Hammers does not want to sell Ferdinand, though sources say that he is looking for an improved contract and so something might happen.
