Clichy had Italian offers

Arsenal defender Gael Clichy has revealed that he had several offers from Serie A. The player instead decided to sign a new deal at the Emirates.

Both Roma and Sampdoria reportedly made offers for the Frenchman.



The French left-back said: "I was always clear in my mind I wanted to stay at Arsenal. I am at one of the biggest clubs in Europe.



"It will be our aim next season to win the Champions League and the English title."
