It seems that England international striker Peter Crouch could be set for a summer exit from Anfield, as Liverpool allowed Portsmouth permission to discuss a contract with the forward.
It is believed that Portmsouth met Liverpool's £10 million valuation, and a return back to Fratton Park could very well be on the horizon.
Pompey boss Harry Redknapp admitted in recent weeks that he was a big admirer of the tall striker.
A statement from Anfield confirmed: 'We have reached a verbal agreement with Portsmouth and have given them permission to speak with Peter.'
