Boro chasing Aiden McGeady

Boro chasing Aiden McGeady

01 December 2008 - 07:35

Middlesbrough are set to make an offer for Celtic winger Aiden McGeady. It is understood that the Riverside club want to bring in the Scotsman as a potential successor to Stewart Downing.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • If Downing does leave - which he has said he has no intention of doing - then McGeady would appear to be the ready made replacement for the England winger.

Celtic are keen to hang on to one of their star players though, and will not be willing to listen to offers unless they are in excess of the ballpark figure quoted as £8 million.
