  • Hull City had been linked with Italian defender Christian Panucci and a move looked like possible after the player's bust-up with Roma boss Spalletti. The latest reports suggest that the move has fallen through and Panucci will be staying in Rome.

The Hull officials had met Panucci and started talking on a possible transfer, but, the 35 year old's agent said that a deal was not struck.

His agent Oscar Damiani said "The proposals we received were not considered valid for the player."
