Middlesbrough have reportedly rejected a cash plus player offer from Portsmouth for star midfielder Gary O'Neil. Tony Adams is reportedly keen to bring the player back to Fratton Park.

However, despite the club's good intentions in landing O'Neil, Gareth Southgate has told Portsmouth that they have no chance of securing the player's signature.
