Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is set to spend the big money by making a bid for Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi this summer. The Gunners know that they will have to offer at least £20 million to even persuade Roma into considering a sale.

De Rossi is being frantically chased by some of Europe's top clubs, but Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has reportedly earmarked the Italian as the perfect partner for Cesc Fabregas.



Wenger sees De Rossi as the perfect replacement for Mathieu Flamini who left over a year ago to AC Milan.



Roma are in a troubled financial situation so a good offer for the player could persuade the club into a sale.
