Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has ruled out a move for Yoann Gourcuff, the talented playmaker currently at French rivals Bordeaux, insisting that the player is too expensive.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is believed to be monitoring the youngster closely, especially since Cesc Fabregas is heading for the exit door.
However Lyon will most certainly miss out on the player as, according to the president of the club: "We are interested in Gourcuff because we think he is a very good player but we are not in the market for him as the price ranges from 25 to 30million euros (£25m)."
