Ajax want Martin Jol

Martin Jol could be offered the chance to become Ajax manager if a number of scenarios happens. It is believed that Ajax boss Henk Ten Cate will be moving to Chelsea as Avram Grant's number 2; elsewhere Martin Jol is under pressure at Tottenham who are 18th in the Premiership.

An Ajax insider told The Sun: "Jol is certainly the club's No 1 choice to succeed Henk ten Cate. Ajax have tried unsuccessfully to get Jol in the past but it looks likely they will finally get him now."

Chelsea are moving closer to getting Ten Cate as their number 2.
