Ashley Cole will stay at Chelsea

Chelsea defender Ashley Cole will be staying put at Stamford Bridge, despite reports linking the left back with a move to Spain. Real Madrid were the club most interested in the England international full back.

However, Cole has moved quickly to reject the talk that he will quit Stamford Bridge this summer.

"I want to end my playing career with Chelsea," he said.

"There are still many more years of football in me and I want to be part of Chelsea as this is the club that can pose a threat to all the big names in the game at all levels."
