Chelsea keen on Raul Meireles?

Liverpool midfielder Raul Meireles is a shock target for Chelsea. The Portuguese international player has fallen out of favour at Liverpool since the arrivals of Charlie Adam and Jordan Henderson.

According to reports this morning, Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas is considering a 8m GBP offer for Meireles.

Chelsea are looking for new players in midfield as Michael Essien seems to be out for the season; and Frank Lampard approaches the twilight of his career.

Liverpool are reportedly looking for closer to 14m GBP for Meireles.
