Tottenham boss hits out at Juan Mata

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has launched a shocking war of words with Juan Mata, who is set to join Chelsea this week in a 24m GBP deal.

Tottenham were reportedly close to sealing a move for the Spaniard, but that deal fell through at the last minute due to the interest - and money - on offer at Stamford Bridge.

Redknapp said: ‘We were in for Mata and close to doing a deal. But he didn’t come and Chelsea came in.

'Obviously they can blow you out of the water wage wise, and then he

changes his mind and they get him. It’s all about wages.’
