Fulham forward Clint Dempsey is a shock target for Tottenham. The American international has been an influential member of the Cottagers' first team since arriving, but Spurs are set to test Fulham with a bid.

Dempsey is understood to be very happy at Fulham but also keen to move elsewhere as he has European ambitions.
