Hatem Ben Arfa could be set to quit Newcastle
There are reports from France that Hatem Ben Arfa is a target for several Ligue 1 sides, including Lille and Lyon. Ben Arfa is still very much in the plans of Alan Pardew for the new season, but there is some talk that the Frenchman can leave St James' Park for the right price.
Ligue 1 champions Lille are looking for another new midfielder in time for the new season; after selling Gervinho to Arsenal and Cabaye to Newcastle in July. Reports in France suggest Ben Arfa is their number 1 target. Meanwhile, Lyon have also been credited with an interest in the French international; but are not willing to meet Newcastle's 10m GBP valuation.
Ben Arfa's future at Newcastle is set to be decided this weekend as the player will reportedly sit down with Pardew and his agent.
