Tottenham complete loan move for Adebayor

Tottenham have completed the loan signing of Emmanuel Adebayor from Man City until the end of the season. Adebayor's reported 170,000 GBP per week salary was reported to be an issue for Spurs; but according to reports Tottenham will pay only 50percent of his salary over the coming season.
Adebayor has been linked with a move to Tottenham for several weeks; and after being spotted in the stands in Tottenham's European game against Hearts, the player had been linked with a move to White Hart Lane.
Harry Redknapp had previously admitted that he was a big fan of Adebayor, and Adebayor's poor relationship with Arsenal fans should help the Togo international become an instant favorite at Spurs.
It is understood that Tottenham have a buyout clause in January or next summer for Adebayor, with a fee of around 15m GBP mentioned.
