Tottenham locked in talks for Gary Cahill

Tottenham are locked in talks with Bolton over the transfer of England defender Gary Cahill. Spurs are closing in on the signing as they are very close to agreeing a fee with Bolton.

Arsenal were believed to be in pole position to land the centre back, but it appears the Gunners have missed out on Cahill as both clubs have entirely different valuations.

The Gunners were offering just short of 9m GBP, in comparison to Bolton's 16m GBP valuation.

However, we understand that Tottenham have offered around 11.5m GBP for Cahill and there may still be some movement for negotation between the two clubs.
