Man City look for De Jong agreement

Roberto Mancini is looking to tie Nigel de Jong to a new deal at Man City. It is understood that City have offered the Dutchman 100,000 GBP per week to stay at the Etihad.

Mancini said: "Nigel is continuing to talk to the club about a new deal. We hope that we can close a deal, but we don't know when."

Nigel de Jong has been in and out of the first team since arriving at City but is now regarded as one of the more important squad players at the club.
